As a family-owned and operated business, Lee’s Candies has been a Boise tradition for over 75 years and has been passed down through three generations. It was founded by Lee Nokleby in 1947 using the recipes his father, LG, developed while apprenticing in different confectioneries across the country.
Lee’s Candies was a huge success, and in 1972 it moved from its Jefferson Street location to the brand-new Vista Village Shopping Center. Lee retired in 1983 and passed the business on to his son Curtis. Curtis continued the tradition, adding a few new flavors but maintaining the motto “Never Change Your Quality.
In 2020 Curtis found himself ready to retire and passed the reins onto a new family. Father/daughter duo Ken and Katie Fernandez took over the tradition of providing delicious, hand-made candy for the Boise area and beyond.

We believe quality should extend throughout our business, so we use only the highest quality chocolate and ingredients and provide high-quality customer service.
Our goal is for each of our customers to leave our store with a smile on their face, whether in-person or online. If we can create something for our customers, we will!
Katie gave us a tour behind the scenes on how the magical process happens. It was so cool. The kids loved it. I’ve been going to Lee’s for ever and had never got to see behind the scenes. Wonderful place to buy your local treats!
Lee’s sugar free candies are the very best I have tasted. I was given the chocolate covered toffee and the mint patties for Christmas and wow! They are good!
Had an excellent chocolate making experience! The staff was great and knowledgeable and we had awesome samples! Even made some chocolates we could take home! Awesome experience!
